I know the machines are for developing fast-twitch fibers.  But now I am in a new chapter in my life where I am trying to better my time in a 5K, which uses mostly slow-twitch fiber.

I want to know if  IP can help me in this race.  What if I worked muscles on the machine for, say, 15 minutes per?    What would happen?  Might it help?  Which type of fibers would be affected?

Josh,

you use fast twitch fiber for stabilization in endurance activities. we have seed great success in distance runners who to our STAR V.5 stabilization exercise program.  concentrate on posture and form.   three days a week and you'll feel a difference in three weeks or less.
