Steve,

One of my clients just recently got a platelet injection to help remedy a tendonitus issue in his bicep.  Do you recomend any exercises to help remedy the issue?

Thanks

Greetings MIke,
PRP seems to be an up and comming therapy...age, sex of the client? is this a tendon tear and the PRP is a "try this before we look at cutting"? if this is not a sugery thing then there are things we can do.  this exercise http://www.impulsepower.com/its/programs/sample.html#elbow2
use the passive phasic technique described in the left column (http://www.impulsepower.com/its/programs/rehab.html right after patient precautions.   train the uninjured arm to do this exercise at the intensity they would expect the injured arms accomodating ability.    be gentle..have it go just fast enough to slide to a gentle catch.  increased the intensity to what ever is comfortable.  3 sets of 30 seconds with a 2 or so minute rest between sets.

Thanks Steve, he is a 15 year-old male.  (BAseball player of course.)  No cutting in his future, although he did just notify me that he is now experiencing some similar pain in his tricep tendon.  Any Thoughts?

sorry its taken me so long to get back to you...is the tendinitis on the inside of the arm or outside?  that is to say near the funny bone or otherwise?  has he been doing the exercises previously mentioned?   any progress? does he have any tingling in his little finger? add the following exercise the his program with the same protocol described previously.  http://www.impulsepower.com/its/programs/sample.html#elbow1
